Now that the sun's finally out, it's obvious that we're gonna start craving new shades! While in New York it was impossible not to notice an on-going trend in sunglasses namely, cat-eye glasses. I tried on this gorgeous, fun pair in Henri Bendel's that I think were Miu Miu? Not sure though, so don't hold it against me haha.
However, when digging through the drawer at home containing all of my parents' old sunglasses I found that this trend is a recycled one! This brown pair of Ray Ban Cats will definitely be worn again this spring. Say hi to the 80's again, 'cause it keeps representing even in 2012!

As well as being very interested in fashion, I love art and in particular, the Swedish artist Ernst Billgren. I recently visited his new exhibit at the Lars Bohman Gallery in Stockholm, called Abstract. Billgren definitely has the unique ability to make every aspect of his paintings very realistic even though the over-all feel of the painting can be dream-like and out of the ordinary. One thing that came to mind when looking at his exhibit is something that my dad has made me aware of, namely what big an influence nature has on fashion. In order to come up with a new, ground-breaking color-combination for a collection, one can simply look at the amazing creatures and plants of nature. In the spirit of the previously mentioned, the day that Ernst Billgren collaborates with a designer to make a clothing line, I will be the first one waiting in line.
