The shoes are almost worth buying simply for the magnificent box they arrive in! |

Today I started prepping and thinking about what to bring to Thailand (we're leaving Sunday) and I went through some of my summer clothes and I came to think about this dress which is probably the most special piece that I own. I bought it on sale a few year's ago and it cost me my entire savings at the time. It's from my favorite collection ever made, Prada's Spring-Summer 2008. For that season, Prada hired an artist to paint on fabric and make prints for shoe boxes, bags etcetera. It's plenty of florals and elves and it's all so beautiful!
Over the course of a few months, post-dress purchase, I invested in the other pieces, like these knee socks, shoes and the knitted neck piece. Now the only thing missing is a purse! But to be honest, if it wasn't for the actual necessity of a purse, I wouldn't need it with everything else that's going on.
Looking through my stacks of old Vogue's, I occassionally stumble upon the ads for this collection and since I love mood boards, I always just want to rip them out and put them on my already clattered walls! This collection really represents the fact that I believe that fashion is an artform. Not just literally like in this case, but a way of self-expression and a way to show someone who you are, without even having to utter a single word.
