LBS

Top and skirt, H&M.
One of the best things about the holidays is the major sale that follows! As a member of H&M Club I received an additional 20 % off the sale price the other day and fortunately I stumbled upon this Little Black Skirt. I've already worn it twice this week because it just works with everything! With black tights and knee-high boots, it can be worn with practically any top, both tucked in and loose, which is the way I wore it last night.

Heat

Below are the flowers I received from my family on Friday when RENT finally premiered. They match the new perfume I got for Christmas, Heat by Beyoncé which is quickly becoming a new favorite of mine. It has unique notes of vanilla-orchid, magnolia, peach and almond and is both sweet and intense at the same time. I really recommend it!

Time to represRENT!

After months of planning and weeks of intense work, it's finally here! I've switched the dresses and heels for jeans and sneakers and am now a full-time scenographer for RENT. The show premiers tomorrow and plays until the 22nd at the Maxim theatre in Stockholm. Seeing as how we are working 13-14 hour-days (as well as a certain lack of fashionable outfits) it's hard to update here but I'll be back to normal in no time with some fashion wish lists for spring!

Back to basics...

Blazer, T-shirt and bag, H&M.
Jeans, Topshop.
Boots, Chloé.
As my tan is slowly wearing off in the cold Swedish weather and school is starting up again, it's time to go back to basics. This look is one of my go to-looks for casual chic.

The cropped, gray blazer with cute, three-quarter sleeves is one of my faves and this is how I wore it a couple of days ago. It's elegant and flattering, yet the jeans and tee tone it all down to make for a perfect everyday-look.

Today

Dress, shoes and earrings, H&M.
When it's cold and it gets dark at 3pm like in Sweden right now, it doesn't take long before you start longing back to a warm place like Thailand. So to try to hold on to the heat for a little while longer I thought I'd treat you to a "Today's outfit" from Thailand instead!

The best part of being in a warmer climate is that people wear more colors! I feel that Swedes in particular are generally very afraid to wear bold and bright colors so I wanted to embrace the moment and wear as much colors as I could before going back to the dark Swedish winter (and clothing-attitude!).

I found this pink dress with pleating details in H&M last year when the huge color-blocking trend first started appearing again. I encourage everyone to invest in colorful pieces*  because not only is that trend here to stay, but life in vivid colors is generally more fun than life in black and white!

* Hot tip! The new spring collection at H&M is bursting with minimalistic shirts in turquiose, orange and neon yellow.

NYE

Happy New Year!

So this year my parents and I spent our New Years Eve on the beach and we had dinner there and then waited for the countdown, after which we sent up paper-mache Thai lanterns in the sky. It was a very chill New Years but nice non-the-less.

I wore my new dress and choker necklace from the Versace/H&M-collaboration that I got from my parents for Christmas. My dad spent hours in front of the computer to get it for me when the collection was released in November. Seriously, that's dedication!

This is my favorite piece from the Versace collection. It stays true to what Versace is all about yet they toned it down a little to make it appealing to the everyday H&M customer. I felt like a lot of the pieces, with their fringes, hot pink and neon green patterns were a little too over-the-top. But this one had just the right amount of surprise with a very low-cut back that unfortunately is not showing in these pics.

The choker necklace is also very cool. I can't really turn my head when wearing it haha but it takes the dress to a whole other level, from pretty to fashion statement.

Have a great 2012!!

Back from Thailand!

This night I wore:
Blouse, H&M Garden Collection.
Shorts and shoes, H&M.

Hi!

I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while but I spent the past week in Si Kao, Thailand and the Internet connection wasn't blog-friendly. We stayed in a hotel called Anantara Si Kao Resort & Spa and it was really pretty. Not far from the commercial and tourist-y part of Thailand, it was still a very serene and paradise-like environment. It was so nice to get away from the Swedish winter for a while!

Almost every day we went to an island called Koh Kadran and the weather was much better out there. It was a beautiful white beach and the water was turquiose. I miss that climate already and I've only been home for a couple of hours!
