Prom is coming up and I know from previous experience that finding the right dress can be quite tricky. And if you on top of that want to be the only one wearing just that dress on prom night, the choices are narrowed down even more. This means, that finding a dress is not something that ought to be done a week or so before the event. Start early is my main advice!I went window shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue when in New York but since a Marchesa gown wasn't really in the cards for me, the purpose for the visit was simply in order to get inspiration. Besides, American and Swedish proms differ quite a bit. I get the distinct feeling that swedes aren't as fond of embellishments and outrageous colors.
On the left is me at my American prom last year, wearing a Roberto Cavalli for H&M-gown. At the bottom I've included a sneak peek of the dress I'm wearing this year but for better pics of the entire thing you'll have to wait patiently until prom is over on June 5th!
